Skylark Alexandra in Swan Lake

After the show was cancelled last year due to the pandemic, our very own Skylark Alexandra finally took to stage in the long awaited production of Swan Lake performed by the English Youth Ballet (EYB) English Youth Ballet – Official Facebook Page at Bromley Churchill Theatre Churchill Theatre Bromley

Cast in the role as a cygnet, Alexandra performed beautifully with confidence and an immaculate stage presence. What an exciting experience to finally be on stage showcasing all your hard work and dedication working alongside EYB director Janet Lewis MBE (formerly a dancer with The Royal Ballet and principal dancer with London Festival Ballet).

Skylark Alexandra we are so proud of you! 💐🎉⭐

Happy New Year!

So 2020 is almost upon us: let’s reflect on 2019. It’s been a year of fantastic achievements: we supported our community through outreach events; our students secured auditions and places on the British Ballet Organisation’s national scholar programme; and we put on our first, full-length theatre production – The Golden Key.

There have been challenges along the way, but through your support – both as advocates and hands-on volunteers – you’ve helped us prevail. Thank you for making this our best year yet!

A new year, a new decade, and the journey continues. What does the future hold for the Skylarks? We hope to take the school to new heights in 2020. Prepare for some exciting developments in January

We wish you all a Happy New Year and look forward to seeing you back in the studio next week!🎉

Skylark Dance Gala

What a week it has been! It is so hard to put into words the emotions that we all felt on Thursday. After all the months of hard work and planning, the Skylark Dance Gala finally came to life. It was a huge success, a magical showcase of our school’s talent.

We would like to thank you all for coming to the show and celebrating with us. We hope that you had a wonderful time.

Thank you to: all our Skylarks, for dancing their hearts out – we are incredibly proud of all of you; all the professional artists who took the time out of their busy schedule and came to support the show; our teachers, staff and parent volunteers working so hard behind the scenes, together with the amazing Churchill Theatre’s Creative Learning department and technical team.

You are all part of the Skylark family, one that has big dreams with the heart and talent to make them come true… we dedicate this Gala to you!

Red Riding Hood

Last Sunday we were guests at the Anna Davydova Dance School’s Christmas show. Two of our dancers performed their Red Riding Hood piece, alongside the school’s students and professional artists. Congratulations Mila and Zach, for putting on such an amazing performance and representing the Skylarks!
